I bought the same nipper in 2009 and has been doing a perfect job until I replaced it with same make. Could be the manufacturer's fault as it is not biting the cuticles smoothly like the previous one. Am quite disappointed.

from the little nail care information that I have found on Google.

Having given up trying to find a decent pair of sharp nail scissors, which proved impossible, a search on nail care turned up this instrument.

I was not familiar with it but at the price it was worth a go and having now used it seems to be a good solution.

Not much different from a pair of wire cutters you would find in a tool kit, the spring mechanism folds out from the handle giving the cutting action.

The nippers themselves are not sharp but have an edge and with a bit of practice do exactly what they need to, they will probably go blunt in the end but at this price can be justified for the use and replacement as they are so effective.

They are sharp enough to cut skin, which I have done a couple of times, and hope after a bit of practice that I can avoid this.

Quite simply, they work and can be bought without being concerned they aren't up to what...

I bought a pair of cuticle nippers in Boots for £18 and would say that these Elegant Touch clippers are of equal quality. Well packaged, sharp and well made. Very pleased indeed for the price of under £5!
