I had a spit thumbnail for three months, that slowly got longer through being constantly on caught on clothesand Water Proof Plasters are not really waterproofI'm glad I found out about Elegant Touch as this is the remedy I covered the split with a tiny piece of tea bag.First put a tiny spot of glue on the split and with tweezers cover the split with tiny piece of tea bagplastic tweezers ones are good for thispress down avoiding fingers as this glue is powerful, it dries in seconds ,then another tiny bit of glue on topYou can file it and cover with nail varnish .Clear is best. It is waterproof as well Clear is best ,. re-do once a weekafter three weeks the nail has no grown without any splittingand next week should be completely recoveredThere are demos on YouTube of this method of repairing Split Nails
