How to clean EmaxDesign brushes:
1. Run the bristles of the brush under warm running water.
2. Apply a small amount of gentle shampoo to the bristles and work into a light lather.
3. Rinse the bristles thoroughly under running water. You will notice that the water leaving the brush is tinted from old makeup.
4. Continue rinsing until no color remains on the brush.
5. Allow the brush to air-dry.

When the supplier contacted me to ask if I would be interested in reviewing these, it was the combination of a full-brush set (except, sadly, a lip brush) AND the fact that the set is not animal hair, that interested me.
This set is clearly not one which will go into my tatty touch-up my makeup bag which fits into the handbag. It's seriously attractively presented for the dressing table when doing a full works maquillage. And would of course make a fine gift - the 12 brushes (13 if you include the two-ended angled brow/spoolie brush, all come helpfully named on each brush, so those of us innocent of the need for the difference between an eye-shadow blending brush, a precise eye shadow brush, a crease brush,, an angled shadow brush and a large eye shadow brush (for large eyes, presumably) need be innocent no longer...

This is a set of 12 Professional Makeup Brushes by Emax.
They are all contained in a pretty floral patterned wipe clean roll which fastens with magnetised press studs
On opening the roll the brush heads are covered by a flap which prevents the brushes falling out of their compartments and protects them from rubbing on each other.Each brush is individually wrapped in cellophane and the bigger brush heads have a plastic cover protecting the bristles.There is an instruction leaflet which tells you what each brush is for these being

I previously got a set of Emax Makeup brushes which I gave as a present to my daughter. She is delighted with them, so when I was contacted by the seller and offered this set free of charge in return for an honest review, I jumped at the chance!
The set is beautifully presented in a very nice, wipe clean, floral print wrap which has a secure popper closure and a retaining flap to prevent any of the brushes falling out in transit.
There are twelve brushes in the set, all are nice to hold and use and feel good on the skin. I photographed the leaflet which accompanies the set, detailing the use for each of the brushes plus some advice on cleaning your brushes before first use and after each use.
I love the little lip brush with its silver cap cover. This will be great for popping in my handbag for re-applying lipstick during the day.
