I love this base coat and it really does tend to make my Essie nail varnish last longer, although it does not work as well when used with other brands. Having two small children, my hands are always in and out of water and nail varnish tends to chip within an hour or two of being applied (unless I get a gel manicure).I find that when I use this, an Essie colour and Essie Gel Setter top coat, I can go at least 4 days with no chips. 4 days is still not very long, when compared to the longevity of a gel manicure, but it is preferable to a couple of hours!All in all, I would recommend this product, but only if you have other Essie products to use with it.
