Created in 1995, 24, Faubourg is a reflection of luxury and femininity, with a composition that is based on rich flowers contrasting the dryness of patchouli. A warm floral scent that evokes the most intimate aspects of feminine sensuality and sophistication. Like a breeze carried through an orchard, the fragrance opens in a sweet blessing of oranges, peach, ylang ylang and fresh hyacinth. A charming heart lies gardenia on a bed of orange blossom and dresses with sweet jasmine, iris and black elder. Finally a base of exotic patchouli wrapped in rich sandalwood and warm amber.

I bought this perfume after reading a review about it and thought it sounded wonderful. Not a cheap gamble to make! But, how the gamble paid off! I love this scent. It's deep and warm, slightly floral mixed with a subtle spice. Some citrus at first, this fades, then amber then ...? But it's not a sweet floral smell - there is a slight sharpness at first which mellows to a smooth creaminess. It is a very complex smell which is just divine. I keep having to put my nose to my wrist to keep smelling it! It's not heavy - I've been wearing it to work and it lasts all day

I've not done it justice with my description- look it up on Fragantica which explains it beautifully. Then buy some!

This is a very 'grown up', sophisticated perfume. A very well made, well crafted scent - true artistry from Maurice Roucel, its composer. Expensive, yes. But really good perfumes usually are, and this is definitely worth every penny...

Just lovely - romantic and feminine. A complex floral scent with a basenote of amber that sets well on your skin and gives off a lasting light trace of jasmine and sandalwood for hours. It has a strong sillage, but its not overpowering. I'm always first in line for a hug at gatherings of family and friends, followed by "You smell lovely" - this is my signature scent.Hermes presentation looks well on the dressing table, its unfussy but looks expensive - which it is - but in my opinionwell worth the money.
