This item does as it says. It sharpens razor blades instead of us just throwing them away. Fifty years ago we all had cut throat razors that you sharpened on leather, just like in the barber's shop. At first I doubted whether this would work but having used it on a blade that was due to be replaced I was amazed at the results. I fully recommend this to anyone.

I purchased this item on the basis of the good reviews both here and on the other colours of the Razorpit product. Having used it, it does not sharpen the blades it blunts them! I used it on a brand new blade, as per the advice in the reviews. Instead of lasting for half a dozen uses, I got 1 use out of the blade before it was so dull it caused razor burn. I contacted Amazon and got a full refund. My advice; don't waste your money. You'd be better off getting an old-fashioned safety razor with cheaper blades than this!
