Give your face a polish!, 10 Dec. 2014

Well I was intrigued by this mask as I've never come across a charcoal and black sugar one before and was eager to try it out! My skin has been very dull and unhealthy looking lately due to central heating, gale force winds and lack of sunlight.

This face polish does not look like a mask, it resembles an exfoliating scrub. However, I know from using this quite a few times now that following the instructions on the tube will give you the best results. It is very tempting to just wash your face with it but I do recommend applying it as a mask! It has a very refreshing unisex scent that is not flowery or cloying at all.

My routine is:

1. Lightly dampen face with warm water (I do this because I find the mask doesn't adhere that well to my skin otherwise, this is probably due to the lumpy texture)

2. Smooth mask over face and neck

Honestly I was a bit skeptical,having using diy scrubs (that worked just fine) for all my life and also for all the hype that this product got recently.But I when I used this,I was totally blown away.I left it for 10 minutes as a mask an then scrubbed gently with wet fingers.Boy,was I wrong!It left my skin super soft which is just as normal for any scrub and although my pores were smaller and most of the tiny blackheads gone,the real bomb was the glow and the brightness of my skin,totally unexpected for a store bought scrub on its first use.I checked the ingredients and was pleasantly surprised to find it all natural.I will religiously use this product from now on.
