An easy to hold bottle with a clear protection cap which fits quite firmly and I have had no leaks. There is a clear strip down the side at the front and back so you can easily see how much product is left. The spray seems to work right to the end of the bottle so product isn't wasted.

In the television adverts they make it look as if the product resembles water, however it is a pale yellow liquid . On application to the skin it has to be spread quite quickly as the alcohol evaporates to leave the sun protection factor behind. The smell is quite chemically at first but soon disappears. It feels cool on application. As it is clear there are no white marks and I find I apply a lot as it is not messy or hard to rub in. This may be why I find it gives such good protection. I have found it very effective at stopping me burning and it is easy to re-apply when out and about because you don't end up with greasy hand. Horrid chemical smell, 14 May 2014
I've been a fan of Ambre Solaire products for decades - I've got sensitive skin and many suncreams irritate it. But sorry to say, I can't remember buying a product I disliked more than this one! OK, no white marks or greasiness, but our family had problems telling where they'd used the spray, so ended up with stray burned bits - plus it smells really unpleasant and 'chemically' compared to the traditional cream. Didn't like the texture on the skin. Sorry - we're going back to the creams, white marks and all!

Applies quickly and dries fast but has an off-putting smell when you first put it on, 21 May 2016
This is a transparent, non-sticky and non-greasy spray on sun protection that absorbs quickly and leaves no film on your skin. It only has 3-star UVA protection so might be better for everyday pottering around in the UK rather than on holiday, depending on your skin type. It has a chemical/alcohol smell when you spray it on but that fades down in a couple of minutes, and is not recommended for use on the face.I liked the sound of this, especially for everyday sun protection when going to work and so on when you don't want to look oiled up. It's quick and easy to apply and you can dress almost immediately but the smell is a bit off-putting and I'm slightly underwhelmed with this formulation in comparison with other Ambre Solaire products.
