I used the suncream in the morning on my arms and shoulders before a day at the beach. The cream was light and very nourishing/moisturising, and sank in straight away without leaving any greasy reminder.I ended up getting very burnt on my non suncream protected parts, but despite not re-applying at all, my arms and shoulders just became a nice brown, no red in sight.

LIGHTWEIGHT

It's a rather pleasant fine sunscreen. It's pleasant smelling and easy to apply. It's not a pump action, simply squirt and apply. I prefer this as I find the pump action never lets you get the bottom of the bottle.

SMELL

Some sunscreens are awful or their smell is sort of chemical or unpleasant. This isn't in that category. It's a very pleasant flowery smell. Not overpowering, just nice.

GREASY

=======

No. It's a moisturising type of lotion so it does have some oil in it but it didn't leave my skin feel "greasy".

I applied it and left it on for about 20 minutes before getting dressed and going out. It didn't leave any noticeable marks on my clothing.

WATER RESISTANT

I tried this in the hot Portugal sun. And frequently jumped into a pool to cool down. Over the day it remained effective. It's not he best at being waterproof but it's OK...

Smooth rather than light, but very good, 20 May 2016
Before using this I thought the standard AS was pretty silky, I wasn't expecting this to be as different as it is. I wouldn't say it is much lighter, but it definitely has a softer, more smooth texture. I suppose "Smooth and silky" would be a more accurate way of describing it.I find that this extra "smoothness" doesn't change the use of the product or the protection that it supplies. I have the standard version of this SPF 20 cream and applied this Light & Silky one in the same way and only had to reapply once, just like the standard one. And just like the standard one this has a 3* UVA rating. Most of Garnier's Ambre Solaire set is 3-4 UVA star protective, so if this bother you, go for a higher rating.The bottle is solid and will survive any knocking about in a suitcase, if this is to be used on holiday.
