I wear quite defined eye makeup with eyeliner, shadow and mascara, and I have always (always) taken it off at night as I believe leaving it on can lead to allergic reactions and wrinkles. So I get through a fair bit of EMUR, and hav etried numerous brands. When the 2 phase oil and water type came in, I tried those, but soon stopped as I found they left agreasy film which I then had to remove with cleanser. Too much hassle. This one is single phase, a fresh water based liquid which easily wipes all the makeup away but doesnt leave the film. If I had to, I could do a new eye makeup immediately after with no smearing. I'd certainly have this one again.

Effective but gentle eye make-up remover, 20 Sept. 2015

When I use eye make up, I use eye shadow, mascara and a little bit of eye liner. Mascara, particularly the waterproof/smudgeproof type, can be quite stubborn to remove and sometimes I found myself having to rub quite hard to remove my eye make up. I have used various products, including baby lotion, some of which, although effective, could be quite greasy and left a film on the eye lid. They sometimes also made my eyes quite bleary. My experience over many years has taught me that it is better to use a product especially designed for the eyes rather than a general multi-purpose cleanser. This is a good product which has been ophthalmologically tested. It is a liquid so is not heavy or greasy like a cream or lotion. It is colourless and with only a very slight, very subtle scent. It is very gentle and is suitable for sensitive skin. It removes make up easily and without pulling at the delicate skin around the eye. You don't need to use a great deal of the product, just a small amount...

I've uses this on and off for a while now. I find that a little goes a long way and that it is very gentle on a very delicate skin area and leave skin feeling hydrated much better than some much more expensive brands.I sometimes wear quite heave eye make up and this garnier eye makeup remover doesn't have a problem removing it, all done with minimal scrubbing. I tend to use a little on a cotton ball and massage a little before wiping foe it to penetrate the heavier makeup. For lighter everyday make up I find just a few light passes removes the makeup and leave the skin looking good amd feeling very clean with no residue left behind.This is a really good priced eye make up remover which I would highly recommend for light and heavy makeup, it's not a big bottle but this does go a long way. For one of the "more high street" brands this outperforms alot of the higher priced brands which I have used and leaves skin refreshed and hydrated.
