Being as pale as talcum powder I have tried and tested numerous fake tan lotions and potions including the Garnier Ambre Solaire Gel. Like all other fake tan concoctions available on the high street it has its advantages and disadvantages. A big advantage to this gel is its price: I snagged a bottle for £6.00 at Wilkinsons only £3.00 more than the bargain bucket Sant Moritz ( which is messy but effective if you were wondering.) Another major bonus with this gel is the colour you end up with. It is natural and warm in colour and the skin is left even more silky and smooth than Saint Tropez although I doubt the moisturising effects equal the Saint Tropez product line.

So far so good so why only four stars? Well there is a major drawback to this gel and that is the way the skin feels after application. I usually like to fake tan before bed so the colour can develop during sleep but the gel makes the skin incredibly sticky. When I put on my jam-jams the material was sticking to the...

Do not waste your money on this product, 21 April 2015
This gel is so streaky! I exfoliated beforehand, put it on with a mitt and in the morning I woke up streaky (after leaving it to dry before going to bed). It left my skin streaky and sticky for hours afterward! Do not waste your money on this product, it is awful!
