I love painted nails but have always struggled to get them looking good, and as for staying nice more than a day or two, forget it. Then last year I was offered a UV lamp for review and its opened up a new world to me. Shellac nails really do last two weeks, even if like me you’re always grubbing in the garden, feeding and grooming a horse, playing with the dogs. I find that the growth shows at the nail bed before the actual polish wears.

I started with one coat my usual base coat, cure for 30 seconds, then two thin coats of this polish, curing each for 2 mins, then a top coat of my usual brand and cure that for 60 seconds. That's it, takes about 20 mins and stays good for two weeks or more with care.

I’d never had a professional manicure so looked online for advice and videos...

This set includes grey and purple in both solid colours and glitter. I really like these shades- the solid colour and glitter looked lovely used separately or together. I have found the colours easy to apply and long lasting. I start with the base coat and then apply 2-3 coats of the colour and finish with the top coat. I use a UV lamp and find the colours set well.I really like this set- the colours perfectly complement each other, giving a lovely finish and lasting well.*I received these from the supplier for free/with discount for the purpose of this review- this has not influenced my opinion.

This is a good top coat and does make the Polish matt finish. I did find when the nail turned matt under the light there was a quick burning sensation on the nail. To reassure though it is a good Polish.
