I have always prefered a wet shave over the electric razor and Gilette is my razor of choice.

My wife gave me this Razor to review and to be honest the only difference is that its silver. Does a Razor need to be silver for the extra pound? Not really. Its a matter of choice if people wish to shave with a silver razor then good luck to them!

On to the razor itself, i can't fault Gilette Fusion it gives a nice close comfortable shave. I do use the vibrating feature which gives me a slightly closer shave or so my wife says when she is stroking my face :)

The good features of the Fusion is that single blade really gives your control when you're trying to shave your sideburns to just the right length, and then around the bottom of the nose which is great for getting into the hard to reach bits. It will give you a close shave and i find it comfortable with no real tug on the skin form the razor. The battery life in the razor is good, I have had my other...

Scratchy..., 26 April 2013

The Gillette Fusion Pro Glide Power is a technically advanced multi-blade razor with a battery powered trimmer for controlling sideburns. It is very highly specified and there has obviously been a huge amount of research in its design. The only problem is... it doesn't give a very good shave.

Let me begin by saying that shaving is a very personal thing and what works for one person may not work for someone else. There may be nothing whatsoever wrong with this razor -- it could just be the way I was holding it. Nonetheless...

I've been wet-shaving now for about twelve years, having learned that electric razors never shave as close and are worse for the skin. Over the years I've tried a dozen different kinds of razors from Gillette and from UK competitor Wilkinson's Sword. My current favourite is the

Nice and smooth, 18 Jun. 2013
Being a lazy shaver (I tend to only shave every 3 days or so) I always have issues with longer stubble. I have tried an electric razor, but still end up at the end with a fair few straggling hairs that I need to get with a razor blade, and I have tried manual razors, which tend to cut me to shreds. This however seems to blend the best of those 2 together. The razor, and its numerous blades, produce a lovely smooth finish, whilst the vibration seems to aid shaving and avoid me catching my skin. The razor itself is a reasonable price but you don't get any replacement blades, so beware this is where your costs go up. If you are like me and only want to shave a couple of times a week then I would recommend this, however if you shave every day I don't think the vibration aspect would be of any real benefit to you so you could save money buying another brand.
