Right price/performance mix, 16 Jan. 2004

An improvement over the non-Excel blades but cheaper than the Mach 3 blades.I use these daily, but keep a Mach3 handy for special occassions where an ultra close shave is required.In summary - thse have the right price/performance mix for me for daily use.

I have been shaving with these blades for many years and I fins them better than my Mach 3 as for a start you can shave easily under your nose. I fine with the Mach 3s that I have irritaing little bristles under my nose as the design is inferior to the excels. I had a shock tonight when I bought a pack of 4 Mach 3 blades in Somerfields as I see they cost me £7.02. I have been in commerce a long time and that price mark is completely stupid one, why not £6.95. Even that is that is highway robbery anyway. Have you noticed that they do not shave as well lately. my best shave is when I am travelling where I use an Excel with Somerset's shaving oil, it's a real joy and very quick, even dry. I have an excel blade that I put in the razor last May and it still is sharp! Shop around and good luck, RB

I must have received a bad batch of blades. Normally, I would expect a blade to last for 5 good shaves. The present ones barely last for 3.
