Very poor assembly and quality control, 13 Nov. 2013

While I'm sure some of these will be fine, mine had a rivet with over 1mm of give in it, consequently the blades do not meet true and there is some wobble, making them useless for cutting anything let alone finger nails. The cut gave a heavily burred edge to the nail making filing a necessity.The pair I received should never have made it through quality control.

good quality medical scissors but not for nails, 21 Sept. 2012

Mine arrived very promptly, and they appear to be very finely machined, and the stamp on them says "merlin medical". They are not really made to clip nails but they are made to be used on fabric, skin, stitches, and probably human tissue, as in during surgery. I tried to trim my thumb nail and the blades almost bent under the pressure, and "bounced off". Not for nails but they are so precisely made I will keep them for other uses. I goive them 5 stars for quality but I should give them 2-3 stars for advertised purpose.

Poor Quality!, 17 Feb. 2014

The word professional used in the title tries to convince everyone that this is of great quality and that this product is reliable.It however is very poor,it is not very strong and fell apart a week after purchased.It did initially cut fairly well and although i did not expect them to last as long as more expensive ones due to the price i did expect something useful.This was a complete waste of time and will be buying the more expensive ones from boots.
