The best and natural way to color hair., 3 April 2015

I am Indian and have dark brown, oily hair and I have few grays hence I apply henna every month.I have been using henna for the last ten years, I've tried many brands but I must say Nupur is the best as the color is always guaranteed and it comes off easily (not sticky) while washing. Also Godrej is a trusted brand in India.

Henna has strong smell. It does not bother me in fact I like it! I have been applying henna tattoos since childhood and henna is a part of tradition :)

After henna application my dark brown hair doesn't look much different but gray hair look deep orange. I am fine with it. I would always prefer henna over artificial/ chemical colors.I have used chemical colors in the past but it never suited my hair.

Here is my henna routine which takes over 3 days:

I have shoulder length medium thick hair. I need 1/4 bowl henna for each full coverage application.

1. Boil water with coffee or tea (2 tbsp). Let it cool for an hour...

Dont breath in particals while mixing be cautious that your not illergic to any of the herbs., 6 Jun. 2015

Just wanted to let you know the product is fantastic but something in it diddnt agree with me. Be cautious when mixing the powder were a mask so no powder is inhaled. I dont know whsy herb doesn't agree with me as I always use normal henna I have done for years.Firstly I didnt know it was the henna my doctor said I was anxious about something the symptoms were similar to fight and fright reactions. Heart palpitations, loss of breath, dry mouth. I also had tingling legs mainly the calf area, blurry vision, this all woke me out of my sleep. I am healthy. But this continued for about three weeks after. I now know its the nupur after just mixing a batch two months later and waking up with the same symptoms.This is not to put sny one off as we are all different I just wanted to make you aware if this has / does occur to anyone.My hair was beautiful after the first use. Just madk up and dont inhale the powder particals.

yes they give good colour however, 3 Dec. 2015

on my hair, this came out a muddy brown, not the vibrant red i get with my usual brand. i've found that all the makes i've tried that hail from india are the same.even got my dad to bring me a range of stuff back from india to trial (i'm indian) and same result. upshot, yes, they work, yes they give good colour however, i'm always looking for a deep red and so far, there's only one brand that does that for me. check out my reviews to see which one i mean, if you are like me.naturally results will depend on your hair but for me personally, this item was a bust.
