A Seriously Good Men's Fragrance, 29 Mar. 2015

This is my current favourite men's fragrance. It's a definitely masculine scent, unlike quite a lot of modern men's fragrances which are almost unisex in nature. The scent is very slightly musky with patchouli, but primarily there's citrus notes, including orange and lemon. There's also subtle back note of wood (cedar wood). It's a strong fragrance, but doesn't step over the line into being overpowering. I think it's just a bit too sexy for the office, it's far more of a scent for a fun night out on the town (you could call it a boozing and carousing scent).This eau de toilette is very long lasting too, several hours in my experience. The fragrance comes in a very stylish bottle, made of glass and gun metal grey metal, with a matching metal top. Highly recommended.Thank you for reading this review.

Great, but lacks longevity, 15 Dec. 2013

This is a medium to heavy scent, not quite in the same league as Paco Rabanne Million. It is an early evening fragrance suited for a dinner party or where you are in close confines and don't want to overpower the room.As with all fragrances they are very much personal choice, but if you prefer the headier scent then this would be a safe choice. they advertise this as woody, patchouli and cedar, maybe it is me or the particular batch, but I am not getting that. However, there is an underlying spiciness that I look for in a cologne.My only negative observation is that it doesn't seem to last. My wife has a good nose for scents and smells and she has commented that it wears off quicker than others I have (lighter and heavier scents). The temptation is to put more on when you are about to go out, but of course it doesn't work that way and wears off just as quickly.I would still buy it again, but it wouldn't be on the top of my wish list.

I tried the previous Gucci Guilty Black which I really liked and this new variety doesn't disappoint.When I spray this product, the main scent I notice first are the heart notes of orange flower. This is followed by the top notes of lavender and lemon and finished with the base notes of cedarwood.You would imagine that these ingredients would create a floral and slightly feminine scent yet this is not the case. The notes balance with each other well to form a light yet masculine fragrance. It is initially quite citrus in essence however the cedarwood soon takes over.It would probably be more suited to a younger demographic as it isn't the most mature of scents however it is versatile and would be suited to day or night wear. It also lasted all day on my skin.The bottle is stylish and opulent and fits well with the Gucci brand.I think this is an expensive product however it does last a long time and is a lovely scent.
