Exquisite and unique, 6 Jun. 2016

Exquisite soap. Can't understand why this, together with so many Guerlain products, has disappeared from the shelves in the UK and yet is clearly still being produced by Guerlain - in underground bunkers, one imagines - and sold for extortionate sums by certain internet outlets - often German. Could it be that this is because these products don't appeal to 15 year olds, towards whom so much retail effort appears to be directed nowadays? Anyhow, I was lucky and found a few boxes for a snip ............... and then smiled sardonically as I watched the remaining one or two outlets jack up their inflated prices even further within seconds of my having confirmed my purchase. Happy days!

I used to love the body lotion on its own, 18 Sept. 2016

I absolutely adore MITSOUKO body lotion and eau de parfum. It is so lovely to find some soap! This soap is so delightful to have in the bathroom ... I don't understand why we can't buy the soap in the UK, but I will be ordering more from this company. Mitsouko has that undeniably mysterious fragrance. In fact the fragrance since Guerlain have had to cease using certain ingredients is more lovely than before. I used to love the body lotion on its own, as sometimes the eau de parfum would be a little acid, in effect, but now it doesn't have that same note coming through. It is just adorable ... and as it says, it is a mystery ... enigmatic ... divine.

My goodness, this is the vintage stuff! Just opening the box it was sent in filled the room with the beautiful scent of Mitsouko. Then unwrapping the pink paper tissue and finding the beautful art deco Guerlain box was a delight, you almost just want to leave it as it is, as it's all just so exquisite. Then to open that box and be hit with the powerful scent again, unwrapping the soap, with the vintage packaging and paper it's wrapped in, a beautiful green, shaped bar, with "Guerlain" imprinted on it. And then to wash your hands the first time. I was initially a little surprised, I almost felt maybe the soap had "gone off" - but this was not the case. A beautiful lather, and then your hands just smell beautifully, delicately of Mitsouko and you can't stop sniffing them! Simply decadent!
