I absolutely love the Vetiver fragrance. It is a pity Guerlain had to jump on the 'extreme' bandwagon too because there is nothing extreme about this fragrance. In my view it is very similar to the original classic Vetiver but without the heavy handed tobacco dry down. I love the classic Vetiver by Guerlain but the tobacco dry down is a little overpowering for me.

This Extreme formula has a Balsam note running through the mid and bass but starts of with a flourish of sweet citrus. There is also sweet, woody incense combined with cedar too. The longevity is good to and depending on the temperature and humidity, I imagine could last for over 6 or 7 hours. A little mid-day refresher is very welcome.

I'm not sure if this is a particularly 'young' fragrance but with the appropriate attire any young man can wear this with confidence knowing he's entered a world of refined elegance. I think that is how I would describe Vetiver Extreme ... as refined elegance...
