I decided to take a bit of a risk on this after reading some pretty damning reviews on here – and I'm so glad I did because it is exactly the colour I was looking for!

Firstly, yes, as previous reviews have stated, it doesn't come with any instructions. This is it's biggest failing, not just because, well, some guidance would be helpful, but also because it really needs to be written somewhere in bold that this dye WILL ONLY WORK ON WHITE HAIR. It's very misleading to sell a silver/grey hair dye without informing people of this first. Before going grey I did me some research and here is what I found out: All hair, no matter what colour it is, has a red pigment in it, and it's this bugger that plays havoc with grey hair dye, which has a blue hue to it. This is because you are basically adding blue and red shades together and end up creating colours ranging from purple to greeny-blue, depending on your hair colour.

Unless you have natural platinum blonde hair...

Good but not great, 22 Sept. 2015

Have used this a few times now. It comes out more blue than silver, but I like it. Only thing is it IS NOT PERMANENT! Stays in for about 4-5 washes only and I want a permanent look. Great for experimenting to see if you will like it without too much risk, but I can't seem to find a silver that lasts! Even tried paying a fortune at hairdressers, but they seem too scared of the colour and again its not lasted more than a few washes. Grrr. Had to use two boxes as my hair is long, but if you want a lighter colour you can still use one box and spread it thinly.
