I had seen these straightening brushes advertised in a few places on the high street but they were very pricey so I was pleased to find a more reasonable priced one to try out.
The device is a pretty pink colour and comes beautifully presented. It has a professional grade ceramic heating mechanism and heats up very quickly and you can adjust the heat to your desired temperature. I used it at about 180 degress as I have fine hair that is mostly straight but has a few kinks to it most of the time. If you have thick or curly hair I would definitely recommend a higher setting to combat your hair texture.
I found that the brush went through really really smoothly and did not tug or pull. It made my head feel warm of course, but there was no problem and it did not burn in any way, even around my sensitive neck area. The tips of the bristles don't seem to get hot which really helps protect from accidental burns on the skin.
