This item arrived securely packaged in cardboard packaging to avoid any damage during shipment.This item arrived in clear cellophane packaging.Despite this item looking somewhat cheap and tacky I personally love it.Now I am not a hairdresser – I have crazy mad long hair and limit my trips to the hairdresser spending £30 just to cut split ends off by trimming the ends myself.I saw a clip on you tube about this item and thought I’d give it a go – it is substantially sturdy and clips into the hair excellently.It is so easy to use and I would highly recommend it.I will always give an honest opinion as I really value the information in reviews when I’m making a purchase from Amazon. Fast & efficient delivery. Only complaint is that the clasp to close is very tight to open & close & can pinch your fingers. That & the little spirit level when turned to cut on an angle actually gets in the way of the scissors as it's a little big. Other than that it does the job
