Razor is not that great quality, very light cheap feeling steel and is not sharp enough to shave with. Will attempt to sharpen properly but not holding my breath. As good as expected for price, was worth a punt but won't be suitable for daily or even weekly use...Brush is nice, but the strop arrived with numerous slits in the leather, looked like someone at the factory had used it to test how sharp blades are (nit very)

I received this as a Christmas present, as I've wanted a cut throat for over 30 years, How disappointing? Cheap cardboard box, no instructions of any kind, and no clue if you need to hone it before first use. The strop has leather, but for canvas, it looks like old fashioned leatherette. No clues which face is for honing/stropping/first or second use, and an internet search didn't really answer my questions. I tried to follow the online guides to strop before use. JEEZ! It doesn't cut, it pulls the hair out, the most painful shave I've ever had! Tried again a few days later after another attempt to strop the blade and it's even worse, the small facial area is still sore 3 days later. I'll try to get the razor professionally honed to see if that is the problem and try again in the New Year, but hey, at least there's been no blood.
