Best clippers I've owned, 11 Feb. 2011

I bought these from a local store - a little more expensive than Amazon, but it's nice to support my local traders sometimes.These clippers are well-constructed and solid, and come with all the guides you'll need. The supplied guides are the standard type my barber uses, so easy to replace if they were to break, and they're both numbered and have the lengths written on too, to avoid confusion. The taper has five positions to click into, so it won't slide while cutting - and there's even a "boost" button for when you're running on batteries, for any tougher areas.Add in a handy travel bag to keep everything together, and this is a nice set. Most importantly, they cut well: no jumping or unevenness to worry about. Just as good as my old mains clippers (now retired) but without having to find somewhere to plug them in every time!

Poor quality, budget clippers, 2 May 2011

I ordered these clippers as I was struggling to replace my Remington ones, which on the whole had performed well apart from the cheap plastic attachments which seemed to be the new design. After failing to find a better more expensive set, I went for these Babyliss ones as they had good reviews and in fact were cheaper.

So good points... attachments are pretty sturdy, attach easily and the unit comes with a little travel pouch which I find useful. However thats really where the good story ends I'm afraid.

The unit takes ages to charge, and although there is a reassuring buzzing noise, I couldn't get it to cut with any of the grades greater than 1! Luckily for me that works ok, though a bit closer than I'd like. You have to oil the blades yourself, there are no ear/side attachments (for those tricky spots), and the whole thing feels cheaply made. For example the way grade adjustment clicks from setting to setting is very haphazard and you can't help but feel it's...

Baybliss hair clippers, 28 April 2011

The items arrived on time and just as described. I wish I had gone for one with a stand for all the accessories but the clippers are good quality and very quiet. The sizes seem to be a little different to my old clippers which required me to go over some hair again but overall I am very happy with this product.
