I have bought this item for years. And it is one of the best of the hot film wax available on the market.No. It is not painless. But, when used in small amounts on small areas, the pain is reduced significantly and is over in 3 seconds.If you are an absolute beginner, it may be a challenge to get the wax temperature right the first two or thre times. But, just practice and use very small amounts first,and you should be fine.

Excellent hot wax for home use, 26 Dec. 2012
I've been using this with a hot wax heater for home bikini waxing for about year and I'm really pleased with it. It removes hair a lot better than warm wax because it can really cling to the smaller hairs. It's far gentler on delicate skin than warm/strip wax as it only pulls the hairs, not the skin. I'm very happy with this wax, it's gentle enough to use every week and I've never had a bad reaction to it. I strongly recommend it.

Decent Hot wax - Easy Use & No mess, 17 Oct. 2014
I find hot wax more convenient to use in comparison with traditional strip wax etc. I was looking for Lycon or Harley wax, but its difficult to get these if you are not a professional. Came across Hive on amazon and seemed like a good and cheaper alternative.Tried both the Hive film wax(the cream colour one and this one) , both are decent but I personally prefer this one as it melts in a thinner see through consistency. Although it leaves occasional hair here and there, in general I am happy with the performance and have been reordering it. I bought a wax heater separately to use with these hot wax blocks.It would be good if they could have this product in smaller blocks or beads so that its easy to use if you are in a hurry and need only a tiny bit melted for a quick use. As of now, there is a bit of a wait if you are looking for a block of wax melted and ready to use.
