After 6 months use, my conclusions:
1) This is NOT (nor does it clam to be) a hair removal system. With regular use, hair regrowth declines.
2) You will continue to need to use your regular hair removal choice for some time.
3) If you want to be hair free, you need to shave/epilate regularly.
4) Using Me regularly, I found the AMOUNT of hair in treated areas declined.
5) Using Me regularly, I still need to shave/epilate as frequently as before, just less so.
6) It is time consuming. To effectively treat an area will take much longer than the manufacturer suggests.
7) Some areas seem more susceptible than others: For me the slowest responders are chest and pubic areas. Fast responders: arms and back and axillae. Legs (upper and lower) in between.
8) I have mixed white and dark haired areas with mostly pale (type 2) skin and some darker areas. The Me seems equally effective (or ineffective) in all which seems to support the claim of being...

My actual review is for the slightly newer version of this machine. I can tell you that I have white skin and dark brown hair. I had professional laser treatment about 15 years ago and it started to grow back (a lot finer) 4 years ago. I did look at all the various products available for this home job before selecting the homedics model. I purchased from the European distributor on line. I have also comtacted them previously and I found the service to be friendly and efficient. Now, the data I have is thet the unit ought to be used once a week for 6 weeks for best results. I did that. My hair grew back and there was no change. After 6 months more of Zapping I can see a bit of a positive difference. Although after this length of time I was not doing it once a week. Sometimes twice a week and sometimes not at all. It does temporarily arrest the hair growth so it looks promising but then nope there it is again.
