A good gift set which includes base coat and finale shine which can also be used if other colours are purchased in the range. Mine came with Vivid RED.
I often visit a salon for manicures and have seen trends shift over the past couple years to Shellac/ Gel treatments on your own nail which are hardened under UV light. This is instead of wearing a false nail. Jessica promise the same results without the UV light.
I found the product assumed the buyer knows what to do as there was a lack of instruction. It assumes you know which product to apply first, how long to wait between stages etc
For best results apply the base coat on a clean shaped nail, its the smallest bottle with a see thru bottle one coat is enough and wait to dry 1 minute. Next apply the colour, one coat was enough, the brush is very lightweight and application was very easy on top of the base coat. I achieved an even coat without any problems. I use the Jessica ranges professionally in my salon, so I am slightly biased! Jessica is well-renowned for the quality of their products, which is why it used in spas and salons across the country, and Phenom certainly doesn't disappoint. Phenom is perfect for people who have difficulty in getting longevity out of normal polish, for whilst its not as hardwearing as their professional GELeration range, its certainly a good home alternative. It also dries slightly quicker than normal polish; Phenom is dry in about 10 minutes, as opposed to traditional polish, which takes up to 20 minutes to be properly dry. As would be expected from a premium brand polish, the colour coverage is fantastic. Unlike the wishy-washy and streaky coverage you get with cheaper brands, with just two coats you get a good solid layer of colour. Moreover, the colour stays glossy for much longer than traditional polishes, which means that it always looks as though its just been painted.

As a busy working woman I thought this 3-step process might be a bit of a bother to apply but to be honest it was easy and produced brilliant results. You get three bottles in the set - a clear base coat, the colour itself - a lovely, vibrant pillar-box red which is both smart and sophisticated - and then a top coat. They each go on smoothly and easily and each coat took a normal amount of time to dry - not super-fast like some polished I've tried int he past, but as long as you're patient and don't smudge the finish by trying to do your hair or something before the polish has dried, you should be ready to go in half an hour. Once fully dry, the polish hardens to a diamond-hard, brilliantly glossy finish, almost like those fancy gel polishes which require a special lamp - which this doesn't, of course. I gave my nails a quick touch up round the edges with a corrector pen just to remove the odd error and they look great! No sign of chipping 48 hours later and I think this might be...
