I thought I would let you know about some product customisation I did to this product out of safety concerns.
My five-month-old was able to grab the silicone finger brush from both sides while I was using it on him, and suck hard enough to dislodge it from my finger, into his mouth. I was able to get it out, but then saw it's clear potential as a chocking hazard.
Had it gone down towards his windpipe, it would have created a completely air-tight seal and would be short enough to be very difficult to retrieve.
Consequently, I have cut the top of the finger brush off, to make it more of a tube - this way at least air will get through should it again be pulled/sucked from my finger and into my baby's mouth. I think most babies will have a reflex to suck any object placed...
