I've tried all types of 'toning down' conditioners but anything that remotely worked also left my hair feeling heavy and as though it needed washing. This leaves lovely light swishy locks. I used this in conjunction with the Colour Renew Shampoo to go with it, and Wow! At long last the four different shades of regrowth that were beginning to look like that old fashioned rainbow wool your Mum used to knit with, were blended into respectability! Hooray for John Frieda! I've used his blonde product range for years, and this is the best one yet!

I do keep meaning to recommend this conditioner, and the shampoo that goes with it! The difference it makes is subtle, but real. I have 'middle-aged blonde' hair: it suffers from all the chemical treatment and my colour degrades quickly to yellow tones. The conditioner's very effective, particularly if left on for a few minutes before rinsing. It restores shine & class to my colour.All lilac hair products work to counteract the greenish-yellow of tired blonde. The gentle version used by John Frieda seems perfectly pitched: it won't make your hair look white or pink/blue, just subtler and more natural. As an added bonus, you don't have to leave it in for any longer than a normal conditioner. On both these points, it does better than Touch Of Silver.

I like to buy a few products when it comes to purple toner as I know sometimes the dye is slightly different in tone. It's nice to mix them.I use this about once a week or less to keep my dyed hair from going too brassy and yellowy.I recommend leaving it in for 20-30 mins if your hair is very yellow or if its just a top up; do a rinse or else end up with lilac hair which isn't too bad! :)
