Overall I'm happy with the results, 9 April 2016

I actually just used this to top up the John Frieda dye, and I didn't use the John Frieda shampoo, I just applied it to damp hair with a bit of standard shampoo massaged in and followed the rest of the instructions. Overall I'm happy with the results. It's a lot easier than having to redye and I can see a visible difference. I did get through it rather quickly though but I think that's probably my fault... If I get my hair done professionally again I can see my self likely buying this, though I'm not sure. It is quite dark but I wouldn't say it's jet black.

A temporary fix, 29 Jun. 2017

This is my favourite hair product and one that I have been using regularly over the last few months. I shampoo and rinse and then apply a good amount of this product to wet hair, using about the same amount as I would conditioner (this substitutes for conditioner, so you do not need to add that as well). It should be left for as long as possible to add a really rich colour but 5 minutes is sufficient to make a difference - just rinse and dry/style as normal. It adds colour and covers areas where fading has occurred and, although 'not suitable' for grey hair, it does add a dusting of colour to any of that as well.

The colour looks really good on the day of application but does fade/rub off over the next few days and goes when you next shampoo, so you need to use this for each successive wash if you want to preserve the look. It also does rub off on bed linen, not to the extent that it permanently stains but it is visible on a white pillowcase after a couple of nights...

Really not worth it, followed the instructions but did nothing for me apart from make my scalp peel. Disappointed.
