After using nice n easy dark brown which turned my hard reddy brown with ginger roots I decided one last try at covering it up. The application ang squeeze bottle is great and there's more that enough for the amount of hard I have. It's maybe slightly darker than I would like but that's nothing to me if its covered the redness!Brilliant product. I did pay for next day delivery which I can also recommend

This is the 5th colour I have used in this range, 2 Aug. 2014

My natural colour is a boring mousy, dark blonde, and up until last year, I have always tended towards blonde colours or blonde highlights, as I am a natural blonde, that has just gone darker as I have got older.

This year, I decided to just give in to my darkening locks, and go brunette. I have used a few colours from this range. This one is pretty dark, despite it being advertised as 'medium brown'. Whilst using these colours, I have found that they consistently cover up a multitude of sins...this time it was a slightly lighter brown that had faded out to a gingery colour (I obviously have red tones in my natural hair, because this has always tended to happen), plus some DIY blonde highlights. It covered everything perfectly, so perfectly in fact, that I didn't like it. I guess after 49 years of being blonde, I just didn't feel like me. The best off-the-shelf hair colour I've ever used, 29 Jan. 2016
I've been colouring my hair now for over 20 years (a realisation that makes me feel rather old) and in that time I've tried every high-street brand that has been available. For me and the way I colour my hair - the John Frieda Foam range has been the best of the bunch, easy application, doesn't stink out your bathroom, doesn't drip, provides incredible coverage even on very thick hair (it won't look like there's enough when you first mix it, but it goes a long way) Washes out cleanly and the conditioner is excellent. Can't recommend it highly enough for both lightening and darkening your natural colour. As with all permanent colours, your existing base colour (and whether it is already dyed or not) will have a significant effect on the colour outcome, if in doubt, their advice telephone like is excellent.
