I have written reviews for all four colours.

To cut a long story short I decided to give up on trying to colour my hair blonde. I have always been blonde/highlighted but as i have aged the blonde has gradually turned darker and darker, and my natural colour is now a very dark blonde ie, mousy brown. So... I decided to just go with flow and become a brunette!

These colours appear to cover all manner of hair colour mistakes, and i personally would say that they are true to colour, although i do have red tones in my hair, which always seem to come through. Having never been a brunette before, i did find this colour very dark on me, and i wasn't very comfortable with the look. A week after using this colour i took a real risk, and used the Wella Highlighting Kit

Great product - but darker than the picture, 23 Jan. 2012

I've coloured my hair for many years and Precision Foam is the best product I've found. It was lovely to use, with no strong chemical smell and no drips. The instructions recommend putting Vaseline around the edge of your face, which I did - this was a bit tedious but probably saved scrubbing stained skin afterwards. Two weeks on, and the colour is still very good (I always use a shampoo for coloured hair, which I think makes a huge difference). My only gripe is that the colour was darker than I wanted, and certainly darker than the picture on the box. (If it wasn't for this I would have definitely have awarded five stars.) My hair is dark, and 5N made it very very dark. I was really relieved that I hadn't gone for 4N as I originally planned. (The John Frieda website recommends choosing the lighter of the shades if you're choosing between two.) I will try 6N next time.
