Its best to apply for under the time, 12 Dec. 2014
It certainly colours your hair but it is a bit of an art to get the colour to blend in. If you leave it on too long it is very visible where it has been applied. Even the light sees to dye quite dark. Its best to apply for under the time ,see how it turns out and apply again if necessary.

Skin patch test is important!, 5 Dec. 2012
JFM Real black contains a lot of PPD (the colourant compound) and if it does react with your skin it causes very serious allergic contact dermatitis. if you can accept the slightly lighter shade. i would suggest JFM Dark Brown/Black as a good substitute. i did a patch test last night with both colours and the site of the Dark Brown/Black is almost unnoticeable. the site of the Real Black is swollen, itchy and bright red. if you were to use it on your beard/sideburns etc. it would be seriously uncomfortable (speaking from experience).that aside, the product is excellent. there is easily 5-6 applications in one pack.i can't stress enough the importance of the patch test though!
