Beautiful soap from the Sub Continent!, 17 Oct. 2014

It's probably 30 years since I last used genuine Indian Sandal wood soap.This is really lovely. I was a tad worried about some of the reviews, especially when I looked at the images of various sellers to find the same basic soap box with an 'exclusive', 'premium' and 'superior' - is there a difference in quality with each of these banners? The one I bought was 'exclusive' and arrived within 48 hours of ordering, which (even though the seller was in Leicester) I thought was pretty fast work.The soap? Gorgeous. I'm half way through it now and it is keeping both its scent and its shape, which is more than can be said for many Brit soaps.Yes it's quirky (its imprinted with 'government soap works etc..'but it's very very nice soap. I'm on a bit of a mission now to explore all those banners on different boxes to see if there really is a difference. I'll report back for everyone accordingly.In the meantime...I hope this helped!

Fabulous scent, cleanses well, feels gentle, 5 Mar. 2013

We found the soap beautifully scented and this remains through to the end of the bar. It leaves skin gently scented and not at all overpowering. Doesn't smell of chemicals and feels gentle on our skin. Doesn't reduce to a mush and feels like a quality product. I was looking for a soap that was not full of chemicals and our boys, my husband and myself have found it lovely to use and we won't use any other soap now.

Had no idea how much I was going to love this soap. Absolute delight to wash with. Was concerned at first that it was going to be too harsh on face but now I've been using it for over 5 months its terrific. Lathers down to the smallest piece of usable soap. I have never used a bar of soap down to a sliver but it's just too good to waste and the perfume and lather stays to the end!! Terrific buy.
