It's a simple enough everyday object, yet I've had to buy four or five nail brushes before chancing on one that actually does the job and lasts more than a couple of weeks. Surprisingly (to me at least) all the ones I bought in person have turned out to be disappointing. Even the ability to examine and handle them gave no indication of their tendency to get soggy and useless when wet.
This internet purchase was very satisfactory. The bristles are stiff enough to remove embedded dirt and grime from fingertips, nails and cuticles without scratching the skin. Perfect after digging, planting and gardening in general and the extra single row at the top is brilliant for reaching deeply ingrained muck in long fingernails. The clear varnish is quite beautiful (we bought it in green and blue) and appears to be very durable.
