Very comfy and good for fine hair, 15 Mar. 2016

[UPDATE 19 May 2016] I now have three of these brushes and they are still all in regular use. The oldest one was bought in November 2013 and although it has lost some of its 'balls' on the end of the brush, it is still quite usable. Original review follows...]

I have quite fine hair and prefer to use a brush rather than a comb. Over the years I have tried various different brushes (including those used by Mrs E) but wasn't really happy with them until I discovered the 'Kent'.

I wanted something that was small enough to go in my jacket pocket and was gentle on the scalp. This brush is about 17cm (6.5 inches) long and weighs 40g so that solves the pocket problem. It also has a little ball on the end of each bristle so that it doesn't scratch your head and consequently is very comfortable to use. It also has a nice traditional solid look and feel.

My only issue is that after a while (a few years in my case), some of the balls have come off the bristles so...

For my 3 year old daughter, she has thick straight hair with a slight curl (she's half english/chinese). She gets little knots and we had a Kent baby brush (super soft bristle that was great when she was a baby but wasn't up to it as it's got thicker). This is great, the prongs means you can style nicely to put the hair up but then bristles make it smooth and glossy. Be gentle as the bristles are stiff but this is what we needed.

No black bobbles on bristles :-(, 8 Dec. 2016
The one I received didn't have the black bobbles on the end of the bristles, this was the whole reason we liked these brushes. Not sure if this was just a faulty one or whether they have changed the design, I would be interested to here if anyone else has received one like this.Good old Amazon allowed a no hassles return and refund though.
