Smearing rocks on your face? I'm sold., 23 Sept. 2015

I'd never bought a face mask before, thinking they were reserved for women with cucumber at spas, but a combination of my curiosity, temperamental skin and good experience with the Kyoku brand led me to try some...

... and especially considering the price, I reckon I'll buy it again. It's good stuff, seems to work well, and you get quite a bit in the tub (2 months if you don't go crazy). Generally feeling less oily, and noticing less problems with my skin since. Plus you get to have bits of volcano on your face for 10 minutes, which is broadly a positive thing.

An interesting footnote: I was looking into what 'kyoku' actually means. Apparently, in Japanese, it (曲) roughly translates as 'a piece of music/song/melody' according to Wiktionary, although quite why that suits a skincare range isn't clear. Interestingly, the same character in both Korean and Vietnamese translates as '(being) bent'. I'm going to assuming it's some sort of awkward branding...

This product is great - instant results as far as I'm concerned, so long as you use it as directed (twice a week), which for me is plenty, keeping it on for 10 minutes and washing off, it does the trick. When combined with a good facial exfoliant before use, and all other days, with a moisturiser as well - dramatically decreased the greasiness of my skin.Will be buying again, good price too.
