Cannot recommend as a keen Scuba Diver, 14 Dec. 2015

The face wash comes in a squeeze tube and has a cream like gel appearance with a thick consistency. The face wash has visible micro-beads inside and a gritty feel to really exfoliate skin. It's unlikely to last 12 months but according to the tube it can be used for 12 months from opening.

Unfortunately I echo a lot of other reviewers in that both myself and my husband do not agree with micro-beads with us being keen Scuba Divers and knowing the effect they have on marine life and it is for this reason that I have marked the product that I don't like it and the corresponding 2 star marking. I wasn't aware the face wash had micro-beads in it when I ordered it due to a lack of information on the product page at the time of ordering and subsequently we will not be ordering a replacement tube and this tube will be disposed of in our household rubbish. What happened to good old sand in an exfoliating face wash like they used to have? Very disappointed in L'Oreal for using...

Rugged and good to use. But the beads are a future no-go., 25 Oct. 2015
I actually think this a very good wash, and it really is powerful, and not just in smell. The beads feel good, even though I doubt they really make a difference and they are quite spread out and unless you keep rubbing your face with the gel I don't see them doing anything. The main thing about the beads though, which is a real killer, is the incompatibility with our drinking water cycle. They just don't get filtered through and can and do end up literally anywhere. So although I really do rate this scrub I think the addition of the beads, which are pretty comprehensively proven to do real damage to the environment, is plain stupid and very annoying on the part of L'Oreal. Not much more to say, other than lose the beads and I'll buy in the future.

The most exfoliating of this range, 8 Nov. 2015

The Men Expert range from L'Oreal has long been one I've been a fan of, with products designed for men across the range from washing, to moisturising and more. With bold promises and interesting concoctions of things I don't even claim to understand I dived in to try out the third face wash that I've used in the range - potentially the most aggressive so far.

This particular item promises to wash and clean the face, exfoliating and clean out dirt. It didn't look great out the tube but still better than the charcoal version I used, otherwise smelt good and exfoliated very effectively using thousands micro beads. In some sense this may also be the downfall of this product, there are the most exfoliating beads I've seen in one, which wouldn’t make it suitable for sensitive skin – though this also makes it feel like it works and I feel it would remove blackheads better using these.

Overall, this is a decent face wash that did what it promises to so comes...
