This is an excellent shaving gel.
Like most wet shavers I am always seeking the ultimate shaving experience.
new gels, oils, 3,4 and 5 blades and the like.
So when offered to test this Shave Gel I jumped at the chance.
This shave gel's big feature is 'ice effect'. In other words the shave oil cools the beard and face.
This seems to run against the old concept of a hot shave- towels hot water and a hot rinse.
I first came across this ice cool concept in Spain many years ago when I forgot to pack my regular shaving foam.
The Spanish stores seem to go wild on the ice cold and cool shaves.
I bought a can and was impressed.
Also I have a Philishave with an Ice bar which freezes as you draw it across your face and it cools.
So I do have a little experience of the cool effect.
This gel is really pleasant.
The first thing to hit you is a wonderful hit of lime citrus scent that smacks of cool lime...

I have tried three different trial versions of L'Oreal's Shave Revolution gel over the past week and a bit and, as someone who usually uses sensitive skin versions of shaving products I can happily say I had no irritation or other averse reaction. In fact – even though I usually use foam rather than gel – I liked the difference because I didn't nick my skin with the razor blade once. The downside is that you need to use "a generous amount of gel", as the packet puts it, so you're going to need to buy replacement tubes a lot more than you do with foam producing containers.
The three I tried are this one the yellow "Antibacterial" gel and another two: the black "Extreme Glide" gel and the orange "Energising" gel.
I have reviewed the black "Extreme Glide" gel separately and have given it 5 stars because I like its smell and also like that whilst the used gel that drips into the washbasin needs a bit of washing away before the...
