Nice brush, mascara itself not great, 12 Mar. 2016

I quite liked the crocodile head brush supplied with this False Lash Sculpt mascara, which is wider one end than the other, and thus quite good for getting into the corners of the eyes whilst simultaneously loading the thicker central portion of your lashes with more product. However I didn't think the formulation itself was that great - it transferred very easily onto my eyelids and lower lashes, necessitating a lot of cleaning up before I looked presentable. It also dried very hard and crispy which I don't like as it means you can't really reapply the product later in the day without completely taking off the earlier application. It was also quite hard to remove even with an oil-based facial cleanser. I might be being picky here but I also didn't like the uber-black shade - there's a fad for this 'blacker than black' movement at the moment amongst all sorts of brands, but it doesn't look as natural or flattering imho as a soft black or black brown shade.

This mascara is for a very specific look - false eyelashes. The brush looks a bit strange but it actually does work well. But you do need a lot of time to apply to all your lashes to get the desired effect. You also have to be careful as the product itself does get onto your eyelids quite easily so have a cotton bud or two at the ready for rescuing your look. I would say it is great for a night out when you have time to get ready, but not for everyday wear. But it does what it says on the tin so if that's what you are looking for I woulds really recommend it.

Practice with the brush makes for lovely lashes., 6 Mar. 2016

The sister in law used this for the first time for a party. She relayed her findings to me:The trick is not to put too much on the flat brush.She found the flat brush a lttle strange at first but soon found how to stroke on the mascara.Overall, she likes the effect.
