This is a hybrid between a lipstick and lip balm and feels extremely rich and moisturising when applied. The lipstick itself (this colour is called As If I) is absolutely my favourite of all the L’Oreal balms I was given to try – it is a soft, natural peach/pink. This is ideal for everyday wear; very natural and yet a pretty shade. It looks a little like a crayon in style and has a sharp point, enabling you to apply this without a lip pencil, Not only is this a very creamy lipstick, but it also smells very pleasant; with a fruity fragrance. On the minus side, it really does not have much staying power. It need to be reapplied often; especially after eating or drinking. Still, if you have dry lips and do not mind the fact that this will not last too long, then it certainly looks nice when freshly applied, and feels pleasant too.

as if- soft peachy-pink nude, very sheer and light formulation., 22 July 2016

2016 appears to be the year of the balm cosmetics wise and I'm sorry but loreal's infallible 'sexy balm' is not my favourite 'balm-colour' but this one is probably a good lipstick anyway especially for a peachy pink nude colour that's moisturising and easy to wear during the day.

The formulation is less viscous/slippery than other balms I've tried this year, it reminds me of a slightly melted crayon rather than a balm, it seems the formulation is HEAVY on the wax which is balanced with some silicones so there isn't definitive dragging on the lips, but it's not the gliding swipe of some competitors.

It doesn't feel like you are wearing any lip colour and there is no slippy feeling on the lips but there is a slight waxy moisture felt there when you press your lips together. The moisture lasts several hours even after the colour has faded.

Colour wise As if is a fleshy pink toned nude ever so the hint towards coral. It's really easy to wear and is the kind of...

Beautiful colour and not at all drying, 13 July 2016
I was delighted with this product because I loved the colour, it was easy to apply, and I received a number of compliments on this sheer lipstick/balm. In addition, it was very moisturising so it didn't cause my lips to be dry. However, I found that it wasn't very long-lasting as it appeared to run slightly so that after an hour or so, there was a darker pink line around the edge of my lips. So long as you apply it every few hours, or use a lip primer and lip liner, then it should be great!
