Simply doesn't work (anti-redness), 21 July 2013

I recently purchased the Anti-Redness CC Cream, as I can get very red skin around my nose and wanted a lighter alternative to full on foundation to cover a few blemishes. Unfortunately, this was a complete waste of money.

The product comes out as a green, greasy, thin liquid (the green is supposed to hide the redness, as they are opposite one another on the colour wheel so, theoretically, cancel one another out to a neutral colour).

Upon application to the skin, it changes in colour and consistency. The green darkens to skin tone, but doesn't stop there - it becomes more and more orange, until I looked as if I'd been tangoed. Although I am fair skinned, I am not too pale, and I feel that L'Oreal should either offer different shades of these products, or at least warn that the ''smart pigment capsules'' are not smart at all, and will actually simply darken to a predetermined shade of orange due to an oxidation reaction, resulting in it not suiting the colour of most people's...

Long lasting and effective, 27 April 2016
I have roseate and could give 'Rudolph' a run for his money in the 'red nose stakes' most days! This is the best product I have tried so far. Carefully and very sparingly applied, it doesn't (in my eyes anyway) come across as looking artificial, but it does tone down the redness very well indeed. It even stays in place pretty well. As a man, I can't keep dashing off to re-do my makeup!!

oranges are the only fruit!, 2 Oct. 2013
I had high expectations for this product, but unfortunately it will be yet another that will be consigned to the bottom of my make-up bag. My problem is that, once applied, albeit sparingly, it oxidises on the face, leaving an orange residue that is all too apparent under foundation. This product may be suitable for someone of a medium/dark skintone but if, like me, you are fair/medium my advice would be, quite simply, DO NOT BUY!
