L'Oréal True Match Concealer 5ml in BEIGE Shade No 4

There are times in our lives when we all feel the need to use a Concealer, and like any items of make-up, there are a lot of choices. For the most part I have used the lipstick style Concealers, until recently when I had the opportunity to try a Crayon style, which was very impressive. This Perfect Match by L'Oréal is a more liquid type of Concealer which I have never used, so here is how I got on.

1st Impressions:

• Lovely style presentation, with a transparent main body, to show the product colour through, topped by a smart, shiny silver screw cap to the applicator.

• The Shade name and number is shown on the top of the, which is useful when wanting to replenish it.

• The product was tamper-sealed and on the silver cap, there is a peel back label which gives a list of ingredients.

I've used this concealer for some time now and its main attraction to me is that it is oil free. I find it hard to source make up products that compliment already oily skin and this works a treat.It being oil free means that it has better hold and if you're prone to oily skin like myself it doesn't enhance the oiliness like some can.Coverage wise it is great. I use this under my eyes to conceal dark circles and to cover any blemishes. I dap it on and then blend with a make up brush - I find that gives the best look. I then apply my regular foundation on the top for a flawless look or you can wear on its own.It works well for me, one of the best concealers I've tried, it's great for highlighting too. Lovely coverage - recommended.

I’ve always used concealer as part of my normal, every day beauty routine. Having said that, it’s really only been because I feel like I should rather than me feeling like it actually does anything for the dark circles/puffiness under my eyes.

For that reason I was expecting to like this product but not really expecting it to blow me away with its effectiveness. When I tried it I was very surprised that it was really, really good and surprisingly effective.

I have quite pale skin and I chose number 5, Sable Sand. When it first went on I was convinced that it was a couple of shades too dark but as I blended it in it was a fantastic match.

The applicator brush is similar to that in a lip stain and helps you not to put too much on your face at any one time. The bottle seems a little smaller than I expected but after my first use, the little you need each time means this will probably last a long time. At roughly £6 (at the time of writing this...
