Well, I must be missing something here. Even the lightest spray covered my roots and scalp in a dense layer of colour that took ages to dry. When it did my hair looked matt and dull. Worse, whenever I touched my hair my fingers were covered in the stuff, and it took two vigorous washes to get rid of it. There is no 'light spray' option - a spray is a spray. Even holding the canister back at the right level it was all just a muddy mess. I gave two stars instead of one in case part of the problem is my technique. Anyway, back to the trusty dark brown eye-shadow and foundation brush.

I have a sensitive scalp and I find hair colourants irritate and cause my hair to thin out which I why I no longer use them, so I was intrigued but wary about trying out the L'Oreal Paris Magic Retouch. I've seen the promotional advert and read the instructions and it differs from how it actually works on me.

First of all less is not more, I have to spray twice and even then the coverage is not as thorough as it claims to be but there is some coverage. There was no irritation or stickiness to my scalp it just took a long while to dry once applied. I'm not sure there is a difference in the colours if you have black hair as I do, I opted for the brown incase the black looked too dark.

It definitely did last until I next washed out my hair and didn't stain my hands or anywhere else when I touched it. It a compact but full can at 75ml, I'm not sure it will last a month as I have to spray liberally each time I use it but it will last a good few times.
