Research has established that fragrances in skin-care products are among the most common cause of sensitizing and allergic reactions. Your skin may not look irritated or inflamed, but in reality below the surface, irritating ingredients including fragrance, can cause collagen to breakdown, and compromise the skins ability to fight daily environmental stress and damage.

L'Oreal own many cosmetic companies including the prestigious 'Lancome'. But despite their vast development and research budgets, many of their skin care products are at best mediocre.

This thick Day Cream has some emollient properties and is suitable for normal to dry skin. It contains soy, vitamin A, antioxidants, as well as volatile fragrance components that may cause skin irritation, particularly if you have an extra sensitive skin.

The fragrance chemicals 'amyl Cinnamal' and 'benzyl cinnamate' are more prominent here than the helpful ingredients. Another problem is the unhygienic...

My foundation glides on nicely over the top, 4 July 2015

This is a lovely cream, and with any decent cream you shouldn't need more than the size of a ten pence worth of cream to be applied to your face for it to feel nourished. The cream nourishes the skin well and doesn't leave residue on your skin. My foundation glides on nicely over the top. I always leave 5 minutes before applying foundation in order for the cream to dry properly. The Revitalift Night Cream which I also use is just as good just feels a slightly thicker texture than the day cream. Great product for the price.

good face cream unsure about the claims, 31 Jan. 2011

I admit that I like this cream, it is smooth and creamy without being oily and it is quickly absorbed.

The jar is a disappointing cheap feeling plastic which, for such a fine product, is a definite let down.

I can't really comment on whether or not it is reducing my wrinkles as I haven't really been paying attention ... sorry.

Nor can I say that my "skin feels tangibly firmer", though I can verify that it is smooth and soft.

Not having done any scientific testing I can't guarantee that "Pro-Retinol A" and "Fibre-Elasty" work, especially as I have no idea as to what they are other than some fancy words being used as a marketing ploy to get people to purchase the product.

It is a shame if it is a marketing ploy as this cream is good enough to stand by itself without the addition of any fancified words and terminology.

My skin is smoother with a silky feel to it and it doesn't leave it feeling oily or dry as some other...
