Not good for me..., 30 Jan. 2016

I am a long time user of John Frieda frizz ease serum on my hair and I was intrigued to see if this would live up to it. I have a shoulder length bob which I straighten every day and wash every other.The cream smells delicious and is easily applied to hair. I used a pea sized amount and evenly distributed it through my hair when damp. Initially it seemed to work well. No frizz, smooth hair. Unfortunately, it rained later on that day and my hair got wet. Cue a complete frizz bomb! It really wasn't a good look (I don't get this with the John Frieda). The next day, I had to wash my hair again. Not only was it frizzy but it had also gone terribly greasy.Two stars as I love the smell and packaging. I also think perhaps I aren't its intended audience as his seems to be for creating different styles. However, I think I'll stick to the one I used before!

Great for adding hold to simple styling on fine hair, but not fantastic hold overall., 11 Feb. 2016

I've been looking for a simple styling cream to add hold to my daughter's hair when we do plaited or braided styles, her hair being so fine and soft it slips out of fixing very quickly and ends up flapping round her face and frustrating her, but I don't want to use anything too extreme due to her age.

This stuff is simple to use, not too sticky, two pea sized amounts was enough to give definition and hold to my daughters quite complex style, in fact I had to muss it up a little to get it looking more natural! It held BEAUTIFULLY, her style held all the way round even after a trip in the car and a nap, and for experiments sake we left the plaits in overnight and she only had loosening round the hair that frames her face (the shortest sections thus least in the plaits) the actual twists and plaits were still perfect.

It's easy to brush out, easy to apply and gives a soft hold to fine hair, if applied to damp very fine hair it will straighten if a wave or curl is present,...

They are the largest cosmetics company in the world. They have loads of brands from Garnier, L'Oréal and have huge research facilities in respect of cosmetics. Just because they're the biggest doesn't mean they're the best. Equally, just because they're the biggest doesn't mean they're evil. I've tested loads of L'Oréal stuff ranging from WOW this should be on the NHS to Oh my golly gosh-this is dreadful.

This is a smoothing cream that's ideal if you straighten your hair. It'll assist.
