I've tried all kinds of creams, 'serums' and pads for revitalising the area around the eyes, and have had mixed results. Some have had mild but noticeably positive effects, while others, to my horror, have simply left horrible oily patches under the eyes. L'Oreal's Precision Eye Cream is very much in the former camp - a genuinely effective cream that certainly improves how I feel about myself when I look in the mirror. The metal applicator is a really clever idea: it not only helps to prevent the cream from being 'gloopy' on the skin, and also cools and massages the area whilst it does so. The cream itself is light and refreshing, and quickly absorbed. Obviously it takes a few days before the actual 'revitalising' effect becomes apparent, but it does indeed show itself, giving the area a lighter, brighter, more youthful look. The full retail price had discouraged me from trying this before, but at this reduced sum I can now make this part of my daily regime, so I'm delighted with the...

Amongst the plethora of eye creams available - including a wide range from L'Orial itself - this is pretty impressive. L'Orial claims that it has a 'triple action' effect first 'replumping wrinkles', second 'reducing eye bag' and, third, 'firming skin'. Well, to assess any other these results you have to apply the cream for three weeks. I'll report back it there are dramatic outcomes! What is certainly does do, and L'Orial doesn't have this as a key outcome, is refresh the eye area. The cream immediately makes my eye are feel less tired and this isn't an effect that lasts for a few minutes but at least a couple of hours.
In part the refreshed feeling might result from applying the cream through the metal dispenser (which means it can be precisely directed to the correct area) but the cream itself does seem to have a cooling and relaxing effect. So for that alone I recommend it.
The tube is small, containing only 15ml of cream, so is relatively expensive. Although...

The first thing you notice when you take the lid off this Eye Cream is the applicator. It's a funny shaped metal end (or pen nib to use L'Oreal's terms) that does actually make a big difference even before the cream hits your skin.
THe cream itself is designed to firm the skin and reduce the signs of wrinkles. It won't, of course, physically remove wrinkles, just the signs. The active ingredients include Caffine and Pro-xylene and these work to make the skin appear tighter. Like all chemicals, it won't always work on all skin types but my wife has found that it works well for her, well enough that she's been using it for the past few months now.
The applicator nib does make the under eye area feel cooler and helps reduce any swelling from late nights etc while the cream seems to go to work quite fast in removing the worse signs of wrinkles and eye bags. It doesn't remove everything completely, of course, but eyes do certainly look a lot better and, yes,...
