This product is recommended for women in their 20s or 30s - I'm slightly older than that, well not hugely, but I thought that I'd try it anyway. This is a L'Oreal Skin Perfection Awakening Eye Cream which promises to: conceal dark circles, reduce eye bag and brighten eyes. I duly applied the light pink and shimmery formula to my left eye and for reasons of contrast, avoided my right eye and took a picture. According to the box, the formula is enriched with caffeine and vitamin CG (is that like CGI?) Actually, no, it isn't - it's: "A synthetic form of vitamin C (in an ascorbyl palmitate form) that is heralded for its ability to firm the skin and fight against oxidative stress and damage."

So - does it work? As you can see below, the product has really opened up my eye area and reduced the dark circles and bags. Sometimes I find that if I apply concealer prior to make up it tends to make the problem look worse, but this really disguises the whole shebang. The...

Lovely under-eye moisturiser (especially for dry skin), but didn't see an effect on dark circles. For women in their 20s & 30s, 15 Oct. 2015

This cream, part of the SkinPerfection ranged launched in 2013, is aimed at busy women in their 20s and 30s who may be showing signs of stress and fatigue in the delicate under-eye area. The eye treatment cream aims at improving the appearance of dark circles, eye bags and fine lines. The headline active ingredients are caffeine and LHA, and the cream is also tinted to help conceal dark circles instantly. It comes in high-end bright pink, orange and white packaging. RRP £12.99 (currently selling at £8.12) for 15ml.

In use, the product spreads out well across the skin without dragging, and soaks in easily. It has a light, pleasant, slightly floral aromaI. I found it did smooth out fine lines, reducing the appearance of creases under my eyes by plumping up the skin. My skin feels super smooth and silky. The cream feels like an effective under-eye moisturiser, especially for dry skin.

L'Oréal======They are the largest cosmetics company in the world. They have loads of brands from Garnier, L'Oréal and have huge research facilities in respect of cosmetics. Just because they're the biggest doesn't mean they're the best. Equally, just because they're the biggest doesn't mean they're evil.
