I've used this brand for years and love its invisible styling hold, however I didn't notice (when ordering) that this item was 'Extra Hold' grade 4. whereas I normally get 'Normal Hold' grade 3.My fault, but it did surpise me to discover that whilst the extra hold-yness was barely noticable, it caused a lot of skin irritation and red rash area on neck and forehead. Must be something in the grade 4 to cause this as I don't get it with grade 3.Hope this is of use to anyone trying to upgrade the strength themselves.

Holds really well, ideal to pop on straight after a hair wash. Can make your head a little itchy after a while, so best not to over apply...just a small amount needed

This is so good, it's not sticky and it really is invisible. I dry my hair then rub an amount the size of a pea or two between my hands, run them over my hair and mess it up. I leave it to dry, then comb and tease my hair to style. It's so good, and is long lasting, I find that it doesn't leave any residue. I have shortish hair but it is very thick and can be quite unruly. I wouldn't be without this and have recommended it to people many times. I have tried other brands of hair gel but they usually make my hair sticky and lank.
