Originally launched in 1927 and relaunched in 1993 this feminine scent contains a blend of high floral notes combining honeysuckle, jasmine, roses and orange blossoms with base notes of vanilla and sandalwood. Lanvin Arpege and it's bottles' design are supposed to represent a mother's love for her child - a floral, sensuous fragrance that is long lasting and strong. Top Notes: Aldehydes, Honeysuckle, Lily-of-the-Valley, Peach, Neroli, Bergamot Middle Notes: Camellia, Coriander, Oris, Lilly, Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang, Lily-of-the-Valley, Rose, Geranium Base Notes: Amber, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Vanilla, Benzoin, Vetiver

This is a wonderful, old perfume. My mother used it when I was little and that was a long time ago! I have used it over the years and found it got really expensive so was delighted to find it on Amazon at a very good price. It is a fairly heavy perfume with sandalwood in it but it is wonderful - dare I say it, but it might be for the older woman - like me!!

This perfume is ok. Nothing special. It reminds me a little of Chanel nos 5 once it has dried down, however its nowhere near as rounded or sophisticated as the latter. Chanel nos 5 is more classy and defined. There is a slight underlying smell with this that I can't quite put my finger on. It's like when you've changed a baby's nappy in a warm room, applied the baby lotion and powder, but there remains a faint smell of faeces in the air, that's the only way I can describe it. Maybe it's just on my skin, but I wouldn't buy it again.
